Abstract The HEART Model is a Faith-Based Model Developed and normed with Human Trafficking Survivors, both adolescent and adult. The Model embraces the secular model developed by Judith Herman (1992) whose 3-phase model is still the gold standard for treatment protocols when working with survivors of complex sexual trauma. The HEART Model uses a seven step model to illustrate the process of Herman,s 3-phase Model then adds a Judeo-Christian overlay to the Model to address Spiritual issues and distortions similar to the cognitive distortions of the secular model. The research was conducted over a seven year period of time with 8 residential programs throughout the United States with preliminary results resently published in The HEART MODEL (Keyes, 2023). The results showed significant decreases in all major Post Trauma Disorder symptoms along with similar decreases in Major Depression, Anxiety and Dissociation. The results also showed significant increases is personal self image, personal self-esteem, and positive God image. This Poster will show the Model itself and discuss the research application and results.
